Bhopal: In the 64th National shooting championship held in Bhopal, former world number one Divyansh Singh Panwar won both the senior and junior air rifle gold medals putting on an impressive show. After topping the qualification with 630.3 points, Divyansh beat Maharashtra's Rudrankksh Patil by 0.7 points to clinch the gold. Hriday Hazarika beat Shahu Tushar Mane to bag the bronze medal. While Rudrankksh scored 249.3 points, Hazarika managed to finish third with a score of 228.2
points.
Divyansh also won the junior gold after beating Rudrankksh once again, with a better margin of one point. He shot 252.2 in the junior final as Rudrankksh settled for silver with 251.2.
Delhi's Paarth Makhija came third with a score of 229.9 and settled for the bronze medal. The men's 10m air rifle discipline saw a record participation of 768 athletes out of over 800 registering to compete.
