Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday said his ministry is working on a comprehensive sports policy for the country to implement the vision to make India the best country in the world.
Dr. Mandaviya was addressing sports persons of Bihar at a function in Patna. He said the department of youth will soon bring a comprehensive Sports Bill in the parliament, which will help to achieve the goal of excellence in the sports sector. The
Union Minister said it will help to implement good governance in the sports sector and promote sports talents.
Dr. Mandaviya said in 2036 India will host the Olympics and it has set the target to feature in the list of top 10 performers.
He also appealed to all sports federations to be united and not mired into litigation for the sake of betterment of sports in the country.
