In Cricket, England will resume their first innings at the overnight score of 311 for 4 against India on the second day of the first Test at Rajkot today. When the stumps were drawn yesterday, Moeen Ali on 99 and Ben Stokes on 19 were at the crease, with the visitors taking the opening day honours.
England had won the toss and opted to



bat. They lost a couple of wickets early before Joe Root posted his 11th Test ton. Root, who made 124, shared 179 runs for the fourth wicket with Moeen Ali to stabilise the English innings. Ravichandran Ashwin bagged 2 of the 4 English wickets. This is the first Test of the 5-match series. It will be followed by 3 ODIs and 3 T-20s matches.
