Paris: In Tennis, Carlos Alcaraz will play Novak Djokovic in a French Open semi-final on Friday after the Spanish world number one beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (7/5). The 20-year-old Alcaraz becomes the youngest French Open men's semi-finalist since Djokovic in 2007 after defeating 2021 runner-up Tsitsipas for the fifth time in as many attempts. Alcaraz will face Djokovic for only the second time in his career.

The former World No. 1 thus reached his 12th semi-final at the Roland-Garros and his 45th at Grand Slam tournaments. With this win, Djokovic now has a record of entering the Grand Slam 45 times, just one short of Roger Federer who made it 46 times before.
