In the Men’s Hockey India League, JSW Soorma Hockey Club secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Delhi SG Pipers at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi last evening. 

Harjeet Singh opened the scoring for Soorma in the 9th minute, followed by a second goal from Gurjant Singh in the 17th minute, giving the team an early advantage. Delhi SG Pipers’ Corey Weyer pulled one back in the final quarter, but his team failed to find an equalizer. With this win, JSW Soorma Hockey Club climbed to third place on the table, while Delhi SG Pipers remain at the bottom. 

In the Women’s section, Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers



defeated Delhi SG Pipers 2-0 at the same venue, keeping their hopes alive for a spot in the final. Kathryn Mullan was the star of the match, scoring both goals for the Bengal Tigers. With this victory, the Bengal Tigers now have seven points, trailing JSW Soorma Club and Odisha Warriors by three points. To qualify for the final, the Bengal Tigers must secure a dominant win in their last match against JSW Soorma Hockey Club. 

Today, in the Women’s section, Odisha Warriors will face Delhi SG Pipers in Ranchi at 6:15 PM. In the Men’s section, Tamil Nadu Dragons will take on Hyderabad Toofans in Rourkela at 8:15 PM.
