In Badminton Hylo Open 2024, India’s Malvika Bansod defeated Bulgaria’s Hristomira Popovska in straight games 21-6, 21-17 in the women’s singles first round at the Saarlandhalle Stadium, Germany yesterday.

Another Indian female shuttler, Rakshitha Sree emerged victorious over Yu Chen Hui of Chinese Taipei 21-13, 21-19 to reach the women’s singles round of 16. In



another women’s singles clash, Keyura Mopati of India defeated Germany’s Miranda Wilson 21-15, 21-15.

A total of 11 Indian badminton players will be in action in Germany. The Hylo Open, also known as Hylo Super Series 300, has been held since 1988, and this will be the twentieth edition of the badminton tournament.
