The International Cricket Council, ICC has barred Pakistan off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect.
The sport's governing body said in a statement today that the decision to suspend Hafeez was taken after their findings that his action was illegal in the third ODI against Sri Lanka
last month.
The ICC said their assessment revealed that the majority of his deliveries exceeded the 15 degree level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.Thirty-seven-year-old Hafeez had been suspended on two previous occasions also for the same offence and he served a 12-month ban from July, 2015.
