In the FIH Women's Junior World Cup, India defeated Malaysia four-nil, to register their third consecutive victory in their pool D campaign at Potchefstroom, South Africa yesterday. That’s the end of the group stage for India, who win three from three and confirm a spot against South Korea in the quarterfinal.
The 4-0 win over Malaysia had a
brace from Mumtaz Khan, on either side of goals from Sangita Kumari and Lalrindiki. Earlier, India outplayed Germany 2-1 and in their first pool D match on Saturday, India defeated Wales 5-1.
India are now unbeaten table toppers from their pool. On Friday, India will take on Korea in the quarterfinal encounter.
