In the 5th Sultan of Johor Cup, at Johor Bahru, Harmanpreet Singh struck twice as junior Indian hockey team edged past hosts Malaysia 2-1 in their fourth league match last night. All three goals were scored in second half. Harmanpreet's goals came in the 41st and 56th minutes.
Shahril Saabah pulled one back for the hosts in the 68th minute.
With 9 points, defending champion India lead the table, ahead of Great Britain who have 8 points, and Argentina who have earned 7 points. India will face Australia in their fifth match tomorrow.
