Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday said that in the field of sports, the Central Government has set goals to make India reach among in the top10 best performing countries in the world. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of upgraded Sports Authority of India Golf Course held at Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram.
The Minister added that India has immense scope for Golf. He
emphasised that to make India a developed nation by 2047, each and every citizen of this country should be in good health. To achieve this goal, physical, mental and cultural health of our society is very much essential, Dr. Mandavya said.
Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi, State Chief Secretary Sarada Muralidharan and other dignitaries attended the function.
