Indian junior men's hockey team scored a last-minute goal to play out a thrilling 5-5 draw against Australia and to move the second spot in the round-robin league standings of the 10th Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia yesterday.
Amandeep's goal in the 60th minute saved India with a final-minute strike after Boby Singh Dhami in 2nd minute, Sharda Nand Tiwari in 8th and 35th and Arijit Singh Hundal in 18th minute found the Australian
net.
India came out all guns blazing in search of the equaliser and Amandeep rescued his side by finding the net seconds before the final hooter.
India will play Great Britain in their fifth game on Friday.
Yesterday, India thrashed Japan 5-1. Captain Uttam Singh, Rohit, Johnson Purty, Boby Singh Dhami and Amandeep Lakra netted a goal each for India while Ikumi Saeki scored the only goal for Japan.
