India to take on Japan in opening encounter of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup

Indian men's hockey team will take on the Asian Games gold medalists Japan in their opening encounter at the 28th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup at Ipoh in Malaysia on Saturday.

The match will start from 1:35 PM Indian time.

Malaysia, Canada, Poland, Japan



and Korea are the other teams participating in the tournament this year. Australia, which clinched last year's title, is not playing in this edition of the tournament. 

The tournament will conclude on March 30.
