India will participate in two Gold Medal events today. Amit Panghal will fight his bout for the yellow metal in Men's Light Fly 48 kilogram category against Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan, who is the gold medal winner from the Rio Olympics.
The other major final of the day comes from the squash arena where India's women's team will fight for gold against Hong Kong after they beat the more fancied Malaysians on Friday.
Today, India ends their men's Hockey campaign by playing a bronze medal match against arch-rivals Pakistan.
There are two finals in each bridge event with the second final being played today. Each final has five rounds and in the first final, the Indian team finished top in every round.
So there is a good chance that they return with a medal, gold or bronze. India's teams are also involved in the Women's Pair and
Mixed Pair finals.
The pairing of Prakant Sharma and Jamesboy Singh are in the final of Men's Canoe Double 200m event. The women's kayak team is in the final of the K4 500m.
In Judo, India will take on Nepal in mixed team elimination Round of 16. In Diving, India's Siddharth Bajrang will be in action in Men's 10 meters Platform Preliminary.
Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind has congratulated the Indian Women's Hockey Team for winning a silver medal yesterday. In a tweet, the President said India is delighted by their stellar performance.
The Indian contingent placed 8th in the table has 65 medals in their kitty comprising 13 Gold, 23 Silver and 29 Bronze. China leads the medals tally followed by Japan. The Asian Games conclude tomorrow.
