Indian doubles pair Arjun MR & Ramchandran Shlok advance to semifinals of Vietnam Open Grand Prix

In Badminton, men’s doubles pair of MR Arjun and Shlok Ramchandran kept the Indian flag flying at the 65,000 dollar Vietnam Open Grand Prix as the fifth seeded duo entered the semifinals. 

Arjun and Shlok defeated Thai pair of Tinn Isriyanet and Kittisak Namdash 21-13, 18-21, 21-13 in 45 minutes. They will next take on third seeds from Chinese Taipei, Liao Min Chun and



Tpesu Cheng Heng for a place in the finals.

However, Lakshya Sen and G. Ruthvika Shivani lost their respective quarterfinals in Ho Chi Minh City. Lakshya Sen lost to Kodai Naraoka of Japan in the men’s singles quarter-final, while Indonesian third seed Dinar Dyah Ayustine beat G. Ruthvika Shivani in the women’s singles quarter-finals.
