Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa has been arrested on poaching charges in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich. An A-22 rifle has also been recovered from him, a vehicle and other hunting equipment have been recovered from Randhawa.
The DFO Katerniaghat is currently interrogating Randhawa - further legal action will likely be taken against the golfer.
Randhawa, once one of India's most celebrated golfers, is the ex-husband of Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh.

Wild boar skin, binoculars and a gun were recovered from a vehicle which was registered in Randhawa's name.
Randhawa drew suspicion upon himself after he was found driving around in Motipur in Katarniaghat where he owns a farm. He had allegedly killed a jungle fowl on Tuesday before he was intercepted in the forest.
Chitrangada and Randhawa were divorced in 2014 .The two have a son named Zorawar Randhawa, whose custody has been given to Chitrangada.
Randhawa recently took up the sport of shooting professionally and also participated in national shooting championships.
