Dhaka: Indian under-19 women’s football team secured their second consecutive victory in the SAFF U-19 Championship after beating Bhutan 3-0, in Dhaka Bangladesh yesterday.
Starting the match in a dominating fashion, Indis's Sumati Kumari opened the scoring in the 7th minute. Priyangka Devi doubled India's lead with a sensational free-kick just before
half-time. Priyangka netted her second and India's third only a few minutes after half-time, sending the Indian team top of the table with six points from two matches. The young blue tigresses had earlier beaten Sri Lanka in the tournament opener.
India will next play hosts Bangladesh tomorrow.
