Tokyo: India’s Arvind finished at the seventh spot in the men’s shot put event of the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics. Arvind registered throws of 10.52 m, 12.41 m, 11.87 m, and 13.48 m.
World No.1 Pramod Bhagat beat Ukraine’s Oleksandr Chyrkov in his second Group ‘A’ match of Badminton Men’s Singles event. The 33-year-old, also a reigning world champion, saw off Chyrkob 21-12, 21-9.

Krishna Nagar, Tarun Dhillon and Suhas L. Yathiraj began their campaign with wins. While, Krishna defeated Malaysia’s Didin Taresoh in straight sets, Suhas defeated Jan Niklas Pott of Germany 21-9, 21-3. Tarun also started the game on high and continued his winning momentum to complete the victory. Palak Kohli won her second Group ‘A’ match in women’s singles. Palak defeated Zehra Baglar 2-0.
