India's premier tennis event Chennai Open, begins today and this year in the singles event, three Indians are in the main draw.Saketh Myneni, country's highest ranked single's player, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Yuki Bhambri are all in fray. Where Saketh and Ramkumar were handed wild card entry, Yuki qualified for the singles main draw after registering a straight sets 6-3, 6-1 win over Argentine Nicolas Kicker yesterday. He is pitted against compatriot Ramkumar in the main
draw. Whereas, 192nd ranked Saketh will be playing against seventh seed Russian Mikhail Youzhny ranked 57th, in the first round.
Besides them, sixth ranked Croatian Milos Ranoic is the top seed after the defending and 3 time champion Stanislas Wawrinka gave the tournament a miss. Ranoic has won the title two times earlier. In the doubles main draw, besides 3rd seeded Leander Paes along with his Brazilian partner Andre Sa, 4 Indian pairs are also competing.
