Mumbai, April 24: Captain Rohit Sharma rotated his bowlers exceptionally well as Mumbai Indians restricted Rising Pune Supergiant to 160/6 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 league match here on Monday (April 24).
Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, Mumbai bowlers did well to prevent Pune from posting a daunting total in front of a supportive home crowd at Wankhede Stadium.
Openers Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Tripathi gave Mumbai a sound start but the middle-order batsmen couldn't capitalise upon that and managed to post just 160 in the stipulated 20 overs.
After winning the toss, Rohit had no second thoughts on inviting Pune skipper Steve Smith to bat first at Wankhede Stadium.
Pune are playing with the same squad which played in the previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad while Mumbai have made just one change in their

side.
Spinner Karn Sharma has replaced injured Krunal Pandya for Mumbai.
On a roll after a six-game winning streak, high-flying MI will be hoping to conqure against a resurgent RPS in a potentially high-voltage clash.
Table toppers Mumbai are in a perfect state of mind to seek revenge for their first leg loss to their Maharashtra rivals in their opening game in Pune, their only defeat in this season so far.
Playing XIs:
Mumbai: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Parthiv Patel (wicketkeeper), Jos Buttler, Nitish Rana, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Karn Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mitchell Johnson.
Pune: Ajinkya Rahane, Rahul Tripathi, Steve Smith (Captain), Ben Stokes, Manoj Tiwary, MS Dhoni (wicketkeeper), Dan Christian, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Imran Tahir.
