Rising Pune Supergiant stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and decided to bowl against Delhi Daredevils in the league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 here on Tuesday (April 11).
Leading the side in the absence of RPS skipper Steve Smith, who is suffering from an upset stomach, Rahane did not show any hesitations and immediately elected to chase.
Pune won their previous game at their home ground while chasing against Mumbai Indians. Pune had a mixed outing so far with a win and loss from two games they have played so far.
Ajinkya Rahane is leading a side in the IPL as a captain after playing 97 matches.
Manoj Tiwary has also missed out the game due
to the demise of his father.
Delhi Daredevils are yet to taste a win in the league and would be desperate to end on the winning side.
With the likes of in-form Ajinkya Rahane, costliest player of IPL Ben Stokes, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Manoj Tiwary in its rank, batting is considered the strongest aspect for the Pune side.
