This win strengthens their position for a second-place finish, putting them 8 points clear of
third-placed Bengaluru FC and fourth-placed Jamshedpur FC, though both teams have three games in hand. Punjab FC remains in 11th place with 24 points from 22 games.
FC Goa’s next match is against Mohammedan SC on the 4th of next month, while Punjab FC will face Hyderabad FC on the 6th of next month.
