In the Indian Super League (ISL) football, Odisha FC held on for a 2-2 draw against North-East United FC at the Kalinga Stadium in Odisha last evening. An injury-time goal from Isak Vanlalruatfela helped Odisha secure the draw and earn a point.

North-East United opened the scoring with Alaaeddine Ajaraie, who scored in the 67th minute. However, North-East United’s joy was short-lived as Odisha FC equalized in the 78th minute, with Thoiba Singh Moirangthem finding the back of the net. In the 83rd minute, Ajaraie restored North-East United’s lead when he headed the ball into the net past Amrinder from a free-kick delivered by

Nestor. This marked Ajaraie’s 18th goal of the ongoing season. Things took a dramatic turn in added time when Isak and Mauricio combined brilliantly, and the youngster slotted the ball into the bottom left corner of Gurmeet’s net to level the game.

Ajaraie’s brace brought his tally to 18 goals this season, equaling the all-time ISL record held by Ferran Corominas in the 2017-18 season and Bartholomew Ogbeche in the 2021-22 season.

FC Mohun Bagan will take on Punjab FC at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata tomorrow. The match will begin at 7:30 PM IST.
