Japan approves lifting Tokyo's virus emergency ahead of Olympics

With just five weeks for the Tokyo Games, the Japanese government has approved lifting Tokyo’s virus emergency, but set new restrictions will be put in place which could sharply limit fans at the Tokyo



Games.

 

The number of infections nationwide has been declining since mid-May and the situation in terms of hospital beds is steadily improving.
