Legendary fast bowler Jhulan Goswami, former England captain Eoin Morgan and England women's cricket star, Heather Knight, were the three cricketers who were added to the MCC Cricket Committee, an independent body comprised of former and current international cricketers, umpires, and officials. The three were inducted to the WCC on Monday, June 26 ahead of the committee's meeting at the iconic Lord's Cricket
Ground.
On the other hand, former England captain Alastair Cook stepped down from the MCC to focus on the last few years of his celebrated cricket career. While Cook has retired from international cricket, the England opener continues to play County Championship.
Earlier in February 2023, as many as 3 cricketers - Clare Connor, Justin Langer and Graeme Smith - were added to the WCC.
