In Indian Super League (ISL) Football, Kerala Blasters Football Club secured a 3-2 victory over Odisha Football Club in Kochi, last night. The Blasters overturned a 1-0 deficit with three goals in the final 30 minutes.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga gave Odisha an early lead, converting a header from Dori in the fourth minute. Odisha held firm defensively until Kwame Peprah equalized in the 60th minute, capitalizing on Korou Singh’s creative through ball.
Jesus Jimenez gave Kerala the lead in the 73rd minute, assisted by Sadaoui, but Odisha equalized through Dori in the 80th minute after a rebound.
Odisha’s hopes were dented when Carlos Delgado was sent off in the 83rd minute for a second yellow card.
Sadaoui sealed the win in the fifth minute of injury time with a powerful strike from the left, taking Kerala to eighth place with 20 points from 16 matches.
Kerala Blasters will face NorthEast United FC on January 18, while Odisha will meet Bengaluru FC on January 22.
Today, NorthEast United FC will face FC Goa on their home ground at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati. The match will begin at 07:30 PM.
