Khelo India University Games - 2023, Ashtalakshmi begins,today at Guwahati in Assam

The Khelo India University Games - 2023, Ashtalakshmi is commencing today at Guwahati in Assam where more than 200 universities are participating for the mega sporting event. 

The Khelo India University Games - 2023, Ashtalakshmi begins today in Guwahati  at Sarusajai Sports Complex with the Kabaddi event. 

The official inauguration ceremoney of the Games will be held on 19th February in Guwahati in which the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part virtually.  The league matches of Kabaddi event for both Men's and Women's begins today evening where 16 Teams of different universities are competing. The first Men's matches to be played between Mangalore



University and Shri JJT University and the first Women's matches to be played between Guru Kashi University and Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila University. 

A total of 16 sporting disciplines scheduled to be held in Guwahati of the total 20 sporting disciplines and the rests 4 disciplines at other North Eastern states. The event will be organised at 18 venues in 7 cities during 11days duration where around 4500 athletes are expected to participate in 20 sporting disciplines. Over 200 universities are participating in this mega university event. 

The Khelo India University Games - 2023, Ashtalakshmi will conclude on 29th February.
