Khelo India Youth Games: Maharashtra leads medals tally with 83 medals including 28 gold

Bhopal: In the Khelo India Youth Games in Madhya Pradesh, swimming, judo, rowing and some other sports competitions are starting from today.

While in weightlifting, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra's weightlifters won gold medals by setting new records yesterday.

Tamil Nadu's Dhanush L lifted a total of 192 kg and Maharashtra's Vinatai made new



records by lifting 129 kg.

Maharashtra topped the medal tally with 83 medals including 28 gold, 30 silver and 25 bronze medals. Haryana and Madhya Pradesh are at the second and third positions with 23-23 gold medals respectively.

Rajasthan is currently in fourth and Odisha is in fifth position.
