In the Kho Kho World Cup 2025, both the Indian Men’s and Women’s teams have advanced to the semi-finals in New Delhi. The two teams have been exceptional throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten in all their matches.

The Indian Men’s team secured a dominant 100-40 victory over Sri Lanka at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium yesterday. The team put on a brilliant show, scoring 58 points in Turn 1 alone. Despite Sri Lanka’s best efforts, they failed to match India’s aggressive gameplay. In Turn 3, the Indian team launched a strong attacking barrage, which continued into Turn 4.

Ramji Kashyap was named the Best Player of the match, while V. Subramani received the Best Attacker award. From the Sri Lankan team, Sasinadu was adjudged as the Best Defender of the Match.

Meanwhile, the Indian women’s team defeated Bangladesh with an impressive



score of 109-16 at the same venue. Led by captain Priyanka Ingle, the team dominated all four turns of the match. Their second turn featured a spectacular Dream Run that lasted over five minutes. The Indian women’s team has now crossed the 100-point mark for the fourth consecutive match in the tournament.

Ashwani Shinde was adjudged the Best Player while Ritu Rani Sen received the Best Defender award. Magai Majhi was adjudged as the Best Attacker of the Match.

The team’s coach, Dr. Munni Joone, said that the teams had been well-prepared in advance for the World Cup. She credited their success to carefully planned strategies and strong teamwork. Indian women’s team player Nazia Bibi shared her thoughts on their winning journey. She expressed her excitement on maintaining the team’s winning streak in the tournament.
