New York: In US Open Tennis, Canadian teenage sensation Leylah Fernandez produced another fearless performance by defeating fifth seed Elina Svitolina of Ukraine 6-3 3-6 7-6 (7-5) to reach the Women's Singles semi-finals.
In her run to her first major semi-final, unseeded Fernandez has beaten Defending Champion Naomi Osaka, 2016 winner Angelique Kerber and now Olympic bronze medallist Svitolina.
Fernandez has set up the Last-Four clash with second seed Aryna Sabalenka on Friday. The Belarusian, Sabalenka defeated French Open champion and eight seed Barbora Krejcikova of Czech
