Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland lead the way as FIFA revealed the list of nominees for the The Best Men's Player award on Thursday, September 14.
Aitana Bonmati, who won the UEFA Women's Player Of The Year award, is among the nominees for The Best Women's Player award alongside Salma Paralluelo and Lauren James.
Messi, who had joined Inter Miami during the summer transfer window, led Argentina from the front as they lifted the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year. He also won the Ligue 1 title with PSG, who also had Mbappe in their ranks. The forward was instrumental in leading the Les Blues to the final, where they were defeated by Argentina.
Haaland had an incredible season for Manchester City last campaign as he scored more than 50 goals and won the Premier League Golden Boot award as well. Manchester City ended up winning the treble last season and Haaland won the UEFA Men's Player Of The year award.
Pep Guardiola, who masterminded City's treble, leads the list for The Best Men's Coach of the Year award.
