In Macau Open Badminton, third seed pair of Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly has advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Japanese duo Akari Sato and Maya Taguchi 15-21, 21-16, 21-14. The Indian duo will now face Taiwan’s Lin, Chih-Chun and Teng Chun-hsun in the pre-quater-final, tommorow.

  

In Men’s singles, former World number one, Kidambi Srikanth returns to court after recovering from injury he sustained



earlier this year. He will take on Israel’s Dubovenko Daniil this morning in the round of 32. In another match, Mithun Manjunath will face Huang Yu Kai of Taiwan, while Sameer Verma will face Wang Zhengxing of China. Later in the afternoon, Chirag Sen will clash against Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong and S Sankar Muthusamy Subramaniam will compete against his Thai opponent Pakkapon Teeraratsakul.
