Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have won their third consecutive Premier League title after Arsenal succumbed to a 0-1 loss at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. City have become just the second team after city rivals Manchester United to win three back-to-back titles in the Premier League era.
City now have a four-point lead over the Gunners which cannot be overcome as they have
just one more game to play in the league. The Citizens will now receive a guard of honor in their upcoming game against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.
This is City’s seventh Premier League title in the 12 years under the Abu Dhabi ownership. This is also Guardiola’s fifth league title in England. He is only behind former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson (13) in terms of league titles won.
