Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been voted Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for November 2023. Ten Hag's Manchester United had a 100 percent winning record and were the only team not to drop a point, earning victories in all three matches against Fulham, Luton Town and Everton.
They were also the only side to go the whole month without conceding a single goal. It is the third time Ten Hag has won the award, adding to his prizes from September 2022 and February 2023. Only Sir Alex Ferguson, at 27, has won it more times as Man Utd manager.
The Dutchman is one of 32 managers in Premier League history to win as many as three Barclays Manager of the Month awards. Ten Hag has come under intense scrutiny as a result of recent losses, although United remain within striking distance of the top
four and are level on points with fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur, who have tumbled down the table following a stellar start to life under Ange Postecoglou.
Ten Hag's men finished November with a tough trip to Goodison Park, where they faced a hostile atmosphere after the league docked the Toffees ten points. Within three minutes, Alejandro Garnacho's wonder-goal silenced the fans, before Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial clinched the victory as the Reds scored three consecutive goals.
It was the perfect month for United, who went on to lose narrowly to Newcastle United before resoundingly defeating Chelsea 2-1 on Wednesday. Manchester United have battled for consistency this season, losing ten of their 22 games in all competitions. They now sit sixth in the Premier League table, having won nine and lost six.
