In Tennis, Rohan Bopanna and Ben Shelton reached the quarter-finals of the Men’s Doubles event at the Monte-Carlo Masters in their first tournament together. The Indo-American duo fought back to defeat the third-seeded Italian pair of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori 2-6, 7-6, 10-7 in a tense match tie-break. Bopanna had previously won the Monte-Carlo title in 2017
with Pablo Cuevas.
In Men’s Singles, Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo upset 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic, 6-3, 6-4 in the second round. Tabilo, who had beaten Djokovic last year as well, took advantage of an off-day from the former World No.1 to score another memorable win.
