Lahore: The owner of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Multan Sultans, Alamgir Khan Tareen recently passed away at his Lahore residence, after he committed suicide. He was aged 63. He bought Multan Sultans back in 2018 and in his ownership, the franchise became one of the most consistent sides in the tournament. 

Tareen was found dead in his home in Lahore on Thursday morning, and the local authorities confirmed that a handwritten note



was found at the site. The news of his passing was confirmed by Multan Sultans across their various social media platforms.

"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved team owner, Alamgir Khan Tareen, our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Tareen's family. We request you all to kindly respect his family's privacy. May his soul rest in eternal peace," Multan Sultans tweeted.
