NCC National Games begin today

Officiating Director General of NCC Maj Gen JS Sandhu will inaugurate the Opening Ceremony of the NCC National Games 2016 in New Delhi today. Defence minister manohar parrikar is expected to be the Chief Guest of closing ceremony on 26th of this month.

The aim of the Games is to provide the talented sportspersons amongst the cadets a feel of a major sporting event and prepare them with requisite match temperament and further



their sporting careers. In the ten days games will feature more than two thousand NCC Cadets from all parts of the country.

Cadets will participate in Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Handball and Shooting for boys and Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Handball and Shooting for girls. Shera has been adopted as mascot for the Games as it represents aggressiveness, agility, speed and vigour all requisite traits in a NCC Cadet.
