At the World Athletics Championships 2022 at Eugene, Tokyo Olympics gold medal winning javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra created history when he became the first Indian to win a silver medal at the competition. However, during the event he suffered an injury in his groin, and even didn't risk to attempt his last two throws.
However, in what was a major setback, Neeraj Chopra revealed that he will not participate in the Commonwealth Games 2022, as he needed rest to
rehabilitate for his injury. There were doubts as to whether the Tokyo Olympics gold medal winning javelin thrower will participate in the Lausanne leg of the Diamond League on August 26th.
However, Neeraj Chopra in a tweet has no confirmed that he is up and ready to take part in the competition on Friday, to the relief of everyone. "Feeling strong and ready for Friday. Thanks for the support, everyone. See you in Lausanne! @athletissima," Neeraj said in a post on Twitter.
