Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal to begin campaigns today in French Open

In French Open Tennis, the second Grand Slam of the season, defending champion Novak Djokovic and 9-time winner Rafael Nadal will begin their campaigns today. 

While world number two Djokovic will take on Spaniard Marcel Granollers, fourth seed Nadal will meet Frenchman Benoit Paire.Milos Raonic and Marin Cilic are also among those who will play their first round matches today.

In the Women's Singles opening round, second seed Karolina



Pliskova of the Czech Republic will play China's Saisai Zheng, while fourth placed Spaniard Garbine Muguruza will clash with Francesca Schiavone of Italy.

Yesterday, world number one Angelique Kerber bowed out of the tournament in the opening round after losing to Russian Ekaterina Makarova, 2-6, 2-6. 

With the defeat, the German became the first Women's top seed to lose in the first round of Roland Garros.
