President Murmu, PM Modi congratulate Indian cricket team for clinching ICC Champions trophy

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated the Indian cricket team on clinching the ICC Champions Trophy. In a social media post, President Murmu highlighted that India became the only team to win the Champions Trophy thrice. She said that the players, the management and the support staff deserve the highest accolades for creating cricketing history.

Prime Minister lauded the Indian Team’s victory as an exceptional result. Mr. Modi said that the team played wonderfully through the tournament.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah termed India’s win as historic. In a social media post, Mr Shah wrote congratulations to Team India on clinching a stunning victory in the ICC Champions Trophy. Your fiery energy and unassailable dominance on the pitch made the nation proud, setting a new benchmark for cricketing excellence, Mr Shah said.

Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda praised the Indian team for its Champions Trophy triumph. Through his social media account, Mr Nadda offered his greetings on Team India’s third Champions

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw while congratulating the Indian Cricket Team called them unstoppable champions. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also expressed happiness on India’s victory.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh also congratulated Team India on winning their third ICC Champions Trophy title.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed contentment over the victory of the team India as it won the ICC Champions Trophy title, having shared one with Sri Lanka in 2002 and securing the second under ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni in 2013 and finally, the 2025 trophy under Hitman Sharma.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also congratulated Team India for ‘gits glorious victory and said that the Indian team’s achievement has filled 140 crore hearts with utmost pride.

The film fraternity congratulated Indian Cricket Team on its historical win against New Zealand in the finals.
