Yesterday, Indian shuttlers P.V. Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen advanced to the pre-quarterfinals after resounding victories in the second round of the tournament. Sindhu defeated Martina Repiska of Slovakia 21-7, 21-9 in Women's Single.

In the Men's Singles, Srikanth upset Li Shi Feng of China 15-21, 21-18, 21-17 and Sen defeated Kenta Nishimoto of Japan, 22-20, 15-21, 21-18.
