Shuttler PV Sindhu will look to add a ninth gold to India's kitty when she takes on World No 1 Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying in the Women's Badminton singles final at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia. 

Sindhu yesterday created history by becoming the first Indian woman to enter the final.

Athlete Hima Das and Dutee Chand, who bagged Silver on Sunday, qualified for the Women’s 200 metres semi-finals. Indian Athletes are also featuring in Women's Heptathlon and finals of the Men's 800 meters, Women's 5000 metres and Men's 4x400 metres Relay competitions.

In Archery, the Compound Men's



and Women's Team will also aim for Gold in the final slated against their Korean opponents.

In Hockey, the Indian Men's team will face Sri Lanka in a Pool A match.
The Indian men's table tennis team beat Japan 3-1 in the quarterfinals to assure the country its first-ever medal in the history of the Games. 

Until last night, India did not have a single medal in table tennis which was introduced in the Games in 1958. India will face South Korea in the semifinals today.

India are currently 9th in the medals tally with 8 Gold, 13 Silver and 20 Bronze.
