Former India head coach Ravi Shastri posted a video from Lusail Stadium ahead of the final of FIFA World Cup 2022 set to be played between Argentina vs France. Shastri took to Instagram to post a video of him at the venue and said that this was unlike any stadium that he had attended a match in.
Shastri in his video stated that he had watched, played and attended matches in stadiums all over the world, but this was an experience unlike any other. The Lusail Iconic Stadium is a venue in Qatar, which can hold more than 80,000 people. The attendance record at this stadium was made in Argentina vs Mexico match, when 88,966 fans were in the stadium.
Shastri's video comes before the mayhem begins at the high-intensity clash between
Argentina and France. Expected to be an electrifying clash, this will be the final chance for Lionel Messi to lift the FIFA World Cup trophy that still eludes his glittering cabinet. On the other hand, France have the chance to become only the third nation in the history of football, to lift back to back FIFA World Cups.
Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are going into the final with 5 goals each, and will be in competition for two individual awards - the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball, given to the top scorer and the best player of the tournament respectively.
Argentina come into this match knowing well the recent history of the two nations. In 2018, France beat Argentina in 4-3 thriller in the Round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup.
