Saina Nehwal entered the pre-quarterfinals of the Korea Open in Seoul yesterday.
She beat Korea's Kim Hyo Min 21-12, 21-11 in the opening round contest. Fifth-seeded Saina will face a local qualifier Kim Ga Eun next.
However, Sameer Verma who along with Saina Nehwal led the Indian challenge crashed out after losing to Denmark's Anders Antonsen.
