Top Indian grapplers will participate in the Senior National Wrestling Championships 2024, starting today at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.
A total of 24 states and Union Territories will participate in this prestigious event. Over 700 entries have been received from across the country. Haryana is set to dominate the Championships with 28 wrestlers from the state competing across various categories. Hosts Karnataka has also entered a strong contingent of 32
wrestlers.
Key grapplers to watch include Y Minakshi Devi of Manipur, who won the U-23 Asian Championship Gold in Jordan earlier this year. Haryana’s Jyoti, who won a medal at the Cadet Asian Championship, is another standout.
In the men’s categories, Arjuna Awardee and Asian Games bronze medalist Sunil Dabarpurya of Haryana will compete, along with Sunny, a gold medalist at the 2023 World Police Games in Canada.
