Sindhu, Sameer enter into semifinals of Hong Kong Open

PV Sindhu and Sameer Verma will play their semi-final matches of the Hong Kong Open Super Series tournament today.

While Sameer will clash with third seed Jan Jorgensen of Denmark, Sindhu will take on local girl Ngan Yi Cheung who had defeated Saina Nehwal in the quarterfinals last evening.Saina lost the match, 8-21, 21-18, 19-21.

Sindhu has jumped two places to grab the ninth spot in the latest rankings. Saina, however, crashed out of the elite bracket. She slipped five places to 11th due to her first round exit in China.
