In Squash, India’s Anahat Singh has stormed into the finals of the British Junior Open at Birmingham in England. She defeated Ruqayya Salem of Egypt 3-1 in the Semi-Finals of the Girl’s Under 17 singles title yesterday.
Anahat will next face Egypt’s Malika El Karaksy in the ultimate showdown. Malika El
Karaksy defeated Helen Tang of Hong Kong 3-1 in the semifinals. The British Junior Open is considered the second most prestigious junior open squash championship after the World Junior Squash Championships. It is one of the five Tier 2 events in the WSF World Junior Squash Circuit.
