In Tennis, India’s Sumit Nagal advanced to the Men’s singles pre-quarterfinals of the Perugia Challenger Tennis Tournament in Italy yesterday. The ace Indian defeated Nerman Fatic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in straight sets, 7-6, 6-2 in the round of 32. The victory has propelled Nagal four spots higher to a new career-best ranking of 73rd in the ATP live



rankings.

Nagal will take on Alessandro Giannessi of the host country in the pre-quarter final today.

Nagal previously won the Heilbronner Neckarcup Challenger title in Germany last Sunday, after a closely contested final against Switzerland’s Alexander Ritschard, 6-1, 7-6, 6-3.
