Basel: Top Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, and Kidambi Srikanth will be in action at the Swiss Open 2022 beginning in Basel today.
In Women's single's first-round matches, two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu will face world No. 32 Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt of Denmark while Nehwal will face seventh seed Wang Zhi Yi of China. Srikanth will face a qualifier in his men’s singles opener.
Swiss Open will also see participation of players like Sai Praneeth, HS Prannoy, Parupalli Kashyap, Sameer Verma, and Aakarshi Kashyap in the singles.

The pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayathri Gopichand will face Thailand’s second-seeded duo Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai in their women’s doubles opener.
The women’s doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy seeded sixth, will face Aline Muller and Jenjira Stadelmann of Switzerland in the first round.
