New Delhi: The T20 World Cup title winning Indian cricket team arrived in Delhi from Barbados this morning to a rousing reception.

Fans were gathered in big numbers, cheering and clapping outside the international airport in the national capital to welcome the Men’s cricket team and give them a warm reception. The team flew back from Barbados where the Summit Clash of the tournament was held. The departure of the Indian squad was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl.

The Indian squad is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence today before leaving for Mumbai.

for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah informed that in Mumbai, the victorious team will take part in an open bus road show this evening. The victory procession will be held between 5 and 7 pm from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium. It will be followed by a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium where BCCI will present prize money to the Indian team. 

Police have made elaborate security arrangements for the road show of the T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team. Large number of cricket fans are expected to gather for the parade and the felicitation ceremony.
