In Tennis, Indian star player Sumit Nagal defeated Facundo Diaz Acosta of Argentina at the men’s singles qualifying round 1 of the Swiss Indoors Tournament in Basel, Switzerland yesterday. The number one Indian tennis star came from behind to register the victory, 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, in a very close match against the world number 67 Argentine player. Sumit also broke his eight match losing streak with this



victory.

Sumit will next take on James Duckworth of Australia, seeded fourth, in the second qualifier this evening.

While in men’s doubles pre-quarterfinals, India’s Yuki Bhambri and his companion Albano Olivetti of France will lock horns with Joe Salisbury of the United Kingdom and Jean-Julien Rojer of Netherlands today
